There has been rumours about the delay of the MSI , now MSI has confirmed the delays with a representative explaining that the problem is still industry battery shortages.

MSI Wind U100 will be sold as Medion akoya mini in Germany at the discount retail giant Aldi .Starting from July 3rd, the UMPC fans in Germany can get this MSI Wind for 399 Euro.

MSI has presented a new notebook on the Wind series called U100-Windows with white, black, and pink colors. At the same time, there is another model U100-Linux which is running Linux Novell OS. The differences between laptops seems to be the operating system, price and Bluetooth for Windows version. While the Windows version costs around $500, Linux version at $400.

Gigabyte M912 is the latest UMPC which GIGABYTE plans to showcase during the 2008 Computex. This latest 8.9” low cost UMPC runs on Intel Atom. Anyother Asus eeePC competitor maybe? The picture shows an interesting rotating LCD, maybe a tablet PC as well?
